My house owners get foreclosed, I am the tenant?
I'm in Nashville TN. I'm in the middle of a lease for 1 year (3 º year we've been here), the owner lives out of state, we pay rent to a management company of the property. We know that the owner is well cheap (tight) with his money, or have financial problems. We have good information from the mortgage company holding the loan can start running mortgage in 30 days from now, if they do not catch up your payments, appear to have been behind a bit. MY QUESTION: What about us? Does bank must comply with our lease until its up? Or we can start out? Where stands the owner is all of this in terms of the obligation or property management company?
It depends on the lender. Federal law provides that the lender must give 90 days, but some lenders are honoring the lease, which depends on the policy of the lender. They will contact you once we take possession.
