Consultation Services We Offer

From our experiences it has become clear to us that many new (and not so new) mamas and daddys are just flat out not aware of their choices when it comes to carrying for their babies. It isn't that they don't want the best, it is just that they are not even aware that better exists- we know because we were in the same boat when we entered motherhood! We live in a culture that plasters Pampers, Gerber, Enfamil, and Johnson & Johnson on everything baby related and we trustingly assume that if it is on the market then it must be safe. Sadly, this is simply not the case.

Through our one-on-one approach of doing business we are able to individually meet with parents and show them how much better parenting can be. Birth Plan Writing

This service is for soon-to-be parents who want to have a comprehensive plan going into the birth of their precious baby. We will help you become aware of all of your options when it comes to a normal delivery, and show you how to put it down on paper so that doctors and hospital staff will listen. The more educated you are as patient the less likelyhood you have of being subjected to unnecessary procedures and walking away from labor with a feeling that things could have been better. This service includes a typed out birth plan (as many copies as you need) which we will create during at least two meetings- the first to go over all of the information and the second to go over your personal preferences. Additional meetings can be scheduled if you have more questions.

The Things You Should Expect That No One Ever Tells You About!

This consultation is for pregnant and new mamas who want to know what their mothers and the books somehow left out! Learn from our own personal shocks and horrors and find out that you are really not facing them alone! In these sessions we will get down to the nitty gritty and give you the chance to ask the questions that you have been wondering about but haven't wanted to ask! We will also teach you how to take control of your time in the hospital to make sure you are getting all of the services you should and tips to help you manage the family once you get home.

Safe Skin Care for Baby and You

Lets face it, most of the ingredients on the back of our cosmetics bottles we can't even pronounce let alone know what they are. As mamas we naturally want the very best for our babies, and sorry to say, Johnson & Johnson just isn't it! In this service we teach you about the hazards found in the skin care products we use daily and show you what to look out for when making purchases. We will also let you try out the luxurious products we offer- think of it as your own personal mama spa day! In addition, we will give you recipes to make your very own all-natural bath salts and the best diaper cream you have ever used!

You Don't Have to be Granola to use Cloth Diapers!!!

This consultation is for every parent who thinks you have to be a card carrying hippie to use cloth diapers on your kids! Even if you think you will NEVER EVER use cloth diapers or even consider them, give us the benefit of the doubt and let us meet with you! We will show you just how much cloth diapering has changed since your grandmama's day and help you see that diapering your baby can actually be cute and fun! If you are rolling your eyes right now then you are exactly the parent we are talking to! Give us a chance to meet with you and show you just how different cloth diapering is than what you are thinking!

Cloth Diapering 101

This consultation is for all those families who are considering using cloth or have already made the decision to but simply don't know where to start. We will show you all of your cloth diapering options, teach you how to care for them and direct you to where you can get them. (Note: we do carry some cloth diapers in our store and of course will show you those products because we think they are amazing. However, we aren't meeting with you to just get you to buy our products- we want to help you find the products that work for your family, which may or may not be the products we carry. If we do not carry what you are looking for we will gladly direct you to where those products can be purchased. Our priority is service, not sales.). Along with our meeting we will provide you with hard copies of the information we discuss so you don't have to worry about remembering everything.

Baby Wearing How-Tos

So, you have a great new stylish baby carrier (ie. Mei Tai, Ring Sling or Pouch) but have no clue how to get your baby in it? Problem solved- we know the ins and outs of making baby wearing work for you! During this consultation we will make sure you learn to feel completely comfortable using your baby carrier of choice. Not sure which carrier you would like the best? Then meet with us and try out the carriers we have tried!

Feminine Care

I know- this one sounds pretty far fetched! But, for anyone who has been finding out about the kinds of chemicals in disposable diapers, the natural progression is only to start wondering about disposable feminine products as well! Clean Green

This consultation is for anyone who wants to eliminate the nasty chemicals found in everyday cleaners from their homes to provide a safe and non-toxic environment for their family. We will show you how to make your own cleaners for just about anything for mere pennys. This consultation includes hard copies of our cleaning recipes along with a bottle of all purpose cleaner (which we will make during our lesson) to get you started, all you have to do is provide the bottle.

The Everything Plan

The Party Plan

If you think you have some friends who may be interested in this information as well, we can also put together a party or class for you. We can do a series of numerous topics or just a single class or party.
